Frequently asked questions
The questions people ask first.
If yours is not here, ask it on the free consultation — that is what it is for.
01
Getting started
- How do I begin?
- Every working relationship starts with a free initial consultation. You ask questions, hear how Swiyah works, and go over insurance and fees before anything is scheduled.
- Who does Swiyah work with?
- Adults, teens, children, and families.
- What does she treat?
- Trauma and PTSD, which is the center of the practice, along with anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions.
- What should I not put in the contact form?
- Anything confidential. Email and the website form are not secure channels, so please leave out symptoms, diagnoses, health history, insurance ID numbers, and your date of birth. The form asks only for your name, email, and reason for contact.
02
Sessions and location
- Where is the office?
- 901 N Market Street, Suite 115, Wilmington, DE 19801.
- Do you offer telehealth?
- Yes, by secure video for anyone physically located in Delaware at the time of the session.
- Which states are you licensed in?
- Delaware only. Clients must be physically located in Delaware for sessions.
- What if I need to cancel?
- Swiyah asks for 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule, so the time can go to someone else who needs it.
03
Insurance and cost
- Do you take insurance?
- Yes. STAMP Love, INC is in network with Highmark, Aetna, AmeriHealth, Medicaid, Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield.
- What will a session cost me?
- Coverage differs from plan to plan, so fees and what your plan covers are reviewed with you directly on the free consultation, before you commit to anything.
- What if I am not using insurance?
- You have a right to a written estimate of expected costs. The Good Faith Estimate notice explains how that works.
04
How the work is done
- What approaches does she use?
- Three: CBT, Somatic, Mindfulness-based. Somatic work pays attention to what is happening in your body, not just your thoughts, because stress and past experiences can be felt physically as well as mentally.
- Do I have to describe my trauma in detail?
- No. Trauma work does not require retelling an event. Pace and depth are yours to set.
- How long will therapy take?
- It depends on what you are carrying and what you want to change. Direction and progress are reviewed out loud, together.
- Is this emergency care?
- No. In a crisis, call or text 988, or call 911 if you or someone else is in immediate danger.
